Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Inaugurates Youth Laptop Scheme

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Youth Laptop Scheme in Islamabad, saying that the government will do everything possible to support education. He stated that if the country needs to spend not just 50 billion but even 500 billion rupees on education, it will be done for the better future of Pakistan. The Prime Minister emphasized that education is the foundation of national progress and that young people must be equipped with modern technology.

During his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared that Saudi Arabia has offered free training to Pakistani youth in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT). He added that thousands of young men and women from Pakistan will be sent to Saudi Arabia to learn advanced skills that can help them contribute to the country’s development.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Prime Minister said that the young generation is the real asset of the nation. He assured that the government will use all available resources to support their growth and development. He concluded his speech by reciting verses from Allama Iqbal, encouraging youth to work hard and believe in themselves.’

Students who received laptops under the scheme expressed their determination to make Pakistan proud through education and innovation. Students from remote areas of Balochistan also received laptops on merit, showing that the government aims to reach every deserving student across the country.

A student from Balochistan, Durjan Bibi, expressed her wish to meet the Prime Minister during the event. When she came on stage, Shehbaz Sharif stood up and offered her his seat as a gesture of respect. The students requested the Prime Minister to continue the Youth Laptop Scheme so that more young learners can have better access to education and technology in the future.
